Rating platforms decide which reviews the public gets to see. We think you should be able to check how we use that power, so these numbers are computed live from our own database — not written by hand, not rounded in our favour, and not hidden when they are unflattering.

How reviews are ordered
The default "most helpful" order is computed, not curated. Nobody can pay to rank higher, and we do not hand-place reviews.
Each review gets a score, highest first, ties broken by newest:
(helpful votes + 1) × 1.2 if the review has a photo
(helpful votes + 1) otherwise- Photos get a 20% boost because a photo is evidence — it shows other readers what you saw.
- The “+1” exists so the boost still works before a review has any votes. Without it, everything would score zero on a new listing.
- Choosing Newest, Highest or Lowest turns the boost off entirely — those sorts do exactly what they say.
What this page will never contain
- Anything about an individual review, reviewer, or business — only totals.
- Internal moderator notes, which stay internal by design.
- Estimated, projected, or illustrative figures. If we cannot measure it, we do not publish it.
